At the rhododendron festival the week before, I overheard some people talking about the "orange rhododendrons" on the other bald. Since I don't think there's such a thing as orange rhodos I decided to go back out and see if it was the elusive flame azalea that was in bloom - which does have a lovely orange blossom. I caught the last bit of a patch of them blooming.
